Ududonka Shrine

Ududonka (aka “Ogbuefi”, Nna) is a male deity. He is the highest ranking deity in Agulu.  Along with his consort, Haba, they are the two most popular and revered shrines in Igbo land. The Ududonka shrine is located on top of  another popular and treacherous valley and erosion site in Isiamigbo village.

Haba and Ududonka are believed to be the protectors of Agulu people..  These two influential deities who seem to control the affairs of the people are known.to be created by God but were merely vested with powers to rule.  According to the Ududonka priest “Ududonka and Habba are not. gods but agents of God.  We go to them because they are nearer to us.  We have to appease. them so that they may present our petitions to God.  We fear them because they are more powerful than we are and as such can mare our progress."
